anticipation

long-stitch binding with woven spine and cover details, spine material Finnish reindeer vellum
Finnish reindeer leather covers with debossed hexagon pattern

Yet again I'm treating my mental health issues the expensive way (the only way that seems to work), so later this week we're running away to Rome for a quick fix of culture and warmer weather. If you have any recommendations on what to do there, I'd be terribly happy to hear from you.

I wish I were already there.

Lovely one, love the stitching...and the red leather.
About Rome, just get lost in Trastevere and eat, drink and love ;)

In Rome, you might enjoy the keyhole at the Knights of Malta gate on Aventine Hill (any cab driver will know). Start there and see an incredible view through the keyhole. Then walk next door to the Giardino degli'arancini with one of the most incredible views of Rome. You can take a little path down towards the Boca Della Verita (think Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck). Though its not really worth a long wait in line, you can wind around to the Campidoglio and stunning view of the Roman Forum. You'll also love the Gallery Borghese on the other side of the city. If you there, don't miss a walk through the gardens toward piazza del Popolo.
I love your blog and your books are always so beautiful and inspiring. I can't wait to see how Rome inspires you. Have a great trip. (And the previous comment was also right about Trastevere!!)
