vintage watch parts, paper, hand dyed Japanese paper, vintage silk threads
So, yet again I put a bird on it. I can't help myself when I find those little birdy heads in my box of watch junk. V is on his way to Rome, a business trip, a biennale. I'm home, waiting for the sound of rain and the sound of snow melting to stop. I am sleeping all wrong again. Not my usual wrong, but even more wrong.

I hope your sleeping will get better.P.S. I am lack of sleeping recently ,too much work time,I feel tired .huhu
Can't help with the sleeping... six hours is a good one for me. LOVE that bird matchbox... it's not in your shop. You should feel very proud of it. Great work.
Thank you both :) I doubt anyone can help me with the sleeping. Even the doctors can't, so I've sort of given up.
I will be listing the matchboxes into my shop as soon as I've finished them all and get the chance to take a photo of them all together. I've already had several reservations for this year's matchboxes and all the birds are spoken for. If you see something you like in the coming days, do drop me a line and I'll let you know if it's available.
I love this one!
thanks for being such an inspiration for me n_n
Happy Holidays!
I love this one especially - our family is a bit bird-crazy!!! I'm sending you a link to one of the birds my son (he's eleven now) made last year - nothing so small - papier mache bird on a real twig. Your blog and your discipline inspires me a lot.Greetings for Christmas and the New Year from us.

Beautiful work Kaija. Sorry I've not popped in lately- a busy time.
I love how you have created the branches as well as the bird.
