Sixteen

(paper, encyclopedia illustration and text)

contour images of letters,
gradual metamorphoses

airplane,
an aircraft heavier than air

or just
the dreamy side
of wind

This I made on Saturday, in good company. The translation I made up just now, I think I'll always prefer Finnish, even though I constantly find myself thinking in English.

It is winter here, today. I believe there is snow, but I don't know for certain. I'll find out later in the day, now I'm still enjoying the warm nest I've built in my bed. If only I had some extra chairs I'd make a tent out of blankets.

Someone is seriously avoiding adulthood here.

I think I'm going to put most of these on Etsy once Christmas is over, but for some of these I have other plans.

Maybe we can do that swap thingy, either by mail, or when I'm in London?

Cutting up books for poetry is my new favourite thing :)

Lovely. Poetry idea is brilliant.

This is my absolute favorite one so far. Beautiful poetry within beautiful visual poetry. I'd love to join in on a swap after the holidays.

Ooohh - this sounds so exciting!! When are you in London? That would be fab and we could maybe even meet up.

I am in the process of (trying) to open up a shop and am going to put some of my books in there as well as other things - a bit nervous though as it's a new venture . . . .

Let me know.
